Untreated, primed and painted panelling
Our cladding is produced from Swedish spruce that has been purpose-sorted for planing into external timber panelling. The finished product's properties and design comply with RISE’s (Research Institutes of Sweden) certification for cladding.
Untreated panelling
We offer a wide range of untreated panelling - from high-quality sawn boards to profiled panelling.
In addition to high-quality sawn board we market a wide range of untreated profiled paneling. What they all have in common is that all external panelling has grooved edges, partly for ease of painting, partly to prevent growth during the construction period. We also hold stocks of the most common types of tongue and groove panelling.
Primed panelling - extends panelling service life
The industrial priming of panelling has a number of advantages. Derome's timber panelling is primed in premises where conditions, such as moisture levels, temperature and application quantities, are carefully controlled.
A 60 µm thick layer of dry film is applied to the sawn surface – thicker than is possible with a regular brush. Our primer is white and the paint used is a water-based acrylic. It provides just as much protection as an oil-based paint, and is also a good alternative from an environmental perspective, as the paint has a minimal impact on nature. Prior to painting, exposed end grain should be treated with a primer oil to give the sensitive areas a little extra protection.
A comprehensive range
Derome's range of primed panelling consists of approx. 80 items. The range includes high-quality sawn cladding boards with grooved edges in widths of 45-195 mm, as well as panelling and battens with different seaming and profiles. Our products are dry-stored with other timber products at our central storage facility. Maintaining a wide range in stock is the key to fast and cost-effective deliveries. Timber products from our sawmills are distributed from Derome Timber's central storage facility to customers on the Swedish market. In addition to primed panelling, which is part of our basic range, we can also offer undercoated panelling and panelling painted with distemper. These are in our custom products range, as well as acrylic primed panelling in colours other than white.
Painted panelling
The panelling is primed and undercoated in the factory and, for best protection, is finished off with an overcoat paint of your choice on site. Undercoated panelling can be left up to five years before overpainting with an overcoat paint. For best results, apply the overcoat paint by spray or brush.
